
Belgrade – On Saturday, June 9, 2024, the first All-Serbian Assembly of the Republic of Serbia and Republika Srpska was held in the capital of the Republic of Serbia, Belgrade, under the slogan “One Nation, One Assembly – Serbia and Srpska”. The event began with a prayer service at the Temple of Saint Sava on Vračar, attended by the highest officials from Serbia and Republika Srpska. The prayer was led by Serbian Patriarch Porfirije.
After the prayer service, a meeting of officials took place at the Palace of Serbia, followed by a joint session of the two governments, where the Declaration on the Protection of National and Political Rights and the Common Future of the Serbian People was unanimously adopted. The Declaration includes 49 conclusions, positions, and goals aimed at preserving peace, stability, national, cultural, and religious identity, as well as intensifying and deepening cooperation and mutual protection.
The central event of the celebration concluded in the centre of Belgrade, at Republic Square, with a cultural and artistic program featuring folk groups from Serbia and Republika Srpska, during which over 2,500 folk dancers performed the Serbian kolo.
